Hydro Ottawa is committed to delivering the highest levels of customer service and safety. To achieve this goal, we regularly evaluate, replace and upgrade equipment in your area – and across the region’s electrical distribution system.
Starting in October 2020, Hydro Ottawa will begin relocating electrical infrastructure to accommodate the LRT Confederation Line West Extension construction along Connaught Avenue.
You may notice increased construction presence throughout the duration of the project, including excavation activities and construction vehicles. Traffic control will be implemented when required to ensure that roads and driveways remain accessible and safe to residents.
To safely relocate existing overhead electrical infrastructure, planned power interruptions are expected to occur. We will work diligently to reduce disruptions and our qualified staff and contractors will conduct this work efficiently, ensuring that any inconvenience is minimal.
