Hydro Ottawa will be working in your area this spring. From April 1, 2021 to approximately June 30, 2021, Hydro Ottawa will be undertaking a project that involves a pole line relocation and installation along Martin Street and King Street in the Richmond area. Please note that Hydro Ottawa continues to follow the provincial directives surrounding COVID-19 and would like to confirm that this work has been deemed essential to providing a safe and reliable supply of power to our customers.
In preparation, you may notice additional construction vehicles and staff present during the remaining weeks of February and throughout March. Hydro Ottawa will be working closely with our contractor, Antrim Contracting for pre-work that will need to be completed in advance of the power lines being transferred to their new locations.
Planned power outages are required for the safe completion of this project. Impacted customers will be notified ahead of time by phone, text, or email. They will also receive a written notice delivered to their door where applicable. Further, notification will be provided if the power interruption is to extend beyond the original duration time. In case of adverse weather, the power interruption may be rescheduled.
Our qualified staff and contractors will conduct this work safely and efficiently, ensuring that any inconvenience is minimal.
