Hydro Ottawa customers who receive their monthly bills by mail may be impacted by a postal disruption and should be aware that they are still responsible for keeping their accounts up-to-date.
The Canadian Union of Postal Workers has given strike notice to Canada Post. At this time, there are rotating strikes which could delay mail delivery.
Even during a postal disruption, Hydro Ottawa customers are responsible for keeping their electricity account up to date to avoid late payment charges. Our Customer Service team is available to assist:
- Take advantage of MyAccount to access account information online.
- Sign up for online billing to receive an email when a bill is ready for viewing.
- Find out account balance by calling 613-738-6400, Monday to Friday, 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. and Saturday between 9 a.m. and 3 p.m.
If customers generally pay their accounts by cheque, there are several other ways to make a payment, including automated payment plans, online banking or in person through financial institutions.
