Switch to online billing – it’s easy and convenient.
Why should I register for online billing?
Online billing is convenient, easy to use, and completely secure – not to mention environmentally-friendly!
Once you sign up, you will have online access 24 hours a day, 7 days a week to your current bill as well as up to two years of past bills. After registration, you will no longer receive a paper bill by mail. Instead, you will receive an email when your online bill (E-Bill) is ready for viewing on your online account (My Account).
How do I register?
To sign up for online billing, you must have an online account.
Setting up an online account is easy – it just takes a few minutes. All you will need is a recent paper bill in order to reference your Hydro Ottawa account number, as well as a valid email address.
Once you’ve created an online account, you can register for online billing or by calling us at 613-738-6400 (Monday to Friday, 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. and Saturday, 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.).
Did you know you can choose what type of online bill notification you will receive?
You have two choices. If you select the standard notification, the email you receive when your bill is ready won’t contain any account information. The enhanced notification, on the other hand, includes your account number, address, current balance and due date. Make your choice when registering for online billing.
