Why we want to hear from you

Investment plan overview illustration

Every five years, we update our investment plan to meet regulatory requirements, address our internal needs and support our strategic priorities. Rate increases are an important part of our plan as they help fund the new technologies and infrastructure that will ensure Ottawans have clean, reliable energy they can depend on. To get those rates approved, we have to submit our investment plan to the Ontario Energy Board (OEB), the independent regulator of the province’s energy utilities. The OEB will review our plan and our proposed distribution rates in an open and transparent public process.

Customer input is essential to our planning process. We want you to be at the centre of everything we do, which is why we work closely with various stakeholders and experts to develop our plan — and reach out directly to our customers to identify their needs and priorities.
