2026-2030 Custom Incentive Regulation (CIR) - EB-2024-0115
EB-2024-0115: Hydro Ottawa Limited filed an application with the Ontario Energy Board on April 15, 2025, under section 78 of the Ontario Energy Board Act, 1998, S.O. 1998, c.15 Sched. B, seeking approval to change the rates that Hydro Ottawa charges for electricity distribution and other charges, to be effective January 1, 2026, and set a rate framework for January 1, 2027 to December 31, 2030.
Proposed residential distribution rate changes summary
Residential customers are charged a monthly fixed distribution charge, which covers Hydro Ottawa’s costs to safely and reliably deliver electricity to homes in Ottawa and Casselman.
Hydro Ottawa’s current monthly fixed distribution charge for residential customers is $34.51 per month. Hydro Ottawa is proposing to increase the monthly charge to $40.59 per month in 2026, representing an increase of $6.08 per month.
