Contractors - Submitting requests

Submitting requests

If you’re a contractor, builder, renovator, landscaper or developer working in our service territory, there are a number of things you need to know and do before you can start work. Whether you’re planning a residential or commercial project, or applying for a severance or minor variance, you must follow specific requirements and submit the right information to us to avoid delays.

Clearances

Electrical clearances help keep the public and workers safe. They also prevent power outages and allow space for us to operate, maintain and replace the electrical distribution infrastructure. Always confirm clearance requirements before starting construction.

Severances, minor variances or permits

If your project requires municipal approval (severance, minor variance or building permit), check where our electrical infrastructure is located before seeking city approvals.

Electrical servicing

Request a new electrical connection or an upgrade to an existing service by filling out and submitting the Electrical Service Request Form.
