If you’re reading this, I need your help! I made a mistake and I need to fix it before I disappoint Santa Claus!
Here’s what happened: When Santa said he wanted me to “go green” at the workshop, I thought, “Sweet! I love greenery! Let’s order more wreaths, garlands, and Christmas trees!”
While the workshop looks more incredible than ever before, it turns out that’s not what he meant…
To be honest, I’m not the best at reading Santa’s writing. I mean, it’s fancy, and very thoughtfully handwritten…but it’s a lot for my elf eyes to take in!
So Comet helped me re-read the work-order to understand: Santa wants me to learn how to make the North Pole more green, as in energy conscious! I mean, I guess us elves HAVE been leaving lights on and forgetting to unplug all our phone chargers… we’re just so excited about Christmas that we forget! Well, Santa wants us to be more sensitive to the environment and for the workshop to be a safer workplace for his elves. But I’m a little overwhelmed. I don’t even know where to start!
This is a big deal for me. Santa trusts me with this and I want to get it right. He sent me to this place called Ottawa. It’s a nice city with lots of people, and it’s cold just like the North Pole. I’m supposed to spend December here, learning about electricity and how to be smarter about using energy. If you have any tips for how I can “go green” at the workshop - in the way that Santa meant - let me know! Send me a note with the hashtag #AWattsonStory on social media and I’ll be sure to check them all because I need all the help I can get!
Oh, and before I forget. Santa sent a few gifts with me to share with people who help me on my mission! And...let’s just say that they’re sure to echo how I feel about all of you! I’ll be gifting them on Instagram, so be sure to follow my story on Instagram @hydroottawa and share your best energy tips.
