Power out?
To help us find and fix outages as quickly as possible, we need your help. Sometimes, we don’t know about an outage until you notify us.
You have several ways to report an outage:
Online
Use our website.
You don’t have to be a Hydro Ottawa customer to report an outage online, but you must be registered for MyAccount.
Mobile app
Use the Hydro Ottawa app.
Text us
Text "OUT" to PWROUT (797688).

Safety tips
Downed wires
See a fallen power line? Stay at least 10 metres (33 feet - or the length of a school bus) away and call 9-1-1.
Check your home
If your house is without power, check to see whether your neighbours have electricity. If their lights are on, look at your electrical panel and make sure all the breakers point to “on.”
Damaged equipment
Do you see damaged electrical equipment or a downed wire going to your home? Keep your distance and contact a licensed electrical contractor right away.
