Grenfell Glen Pole Replacement Project

September 2022 - March 2023

The Grenfell Glen Pole Replacement project is being completed as an essential requirement to revitalize the aging assets necessary to maintain the electricity capacity that provides power to the Knoxdale-Merivale ward. Over the next few years, there will be an increased Hydro Ottawa construction presence in the general area as part of a larger infrastructure renewal project in your area.

What will this project include?

  • Installation of approximately 92 new poles on Avonlea Road, Beth Road, Burnbank Street, Crawley Avenue, East Adams Street, Grenfell Crescent and Pratt Avenue

Why are we moving forward with this project?

Hydro Ottawa equipment located in this area is reaching the end of life. As a result, it is essential to replace this equipment to ensure the overall reliability of the electricity distribution system in the area moving forward.
