Get help managing electricity costs.
The delivery of Ontario’s conservation and demand management programs is now centralized and administered provincially by the Independent Electricity System Operator (IESO). Energy efficiency has been, and will continue to be, a valuable resource for the Ontario grid.
Many programs such as IESO’s Home Assistance Program remain unchanged, with participation open to low-income customers across the province. More information about the program can be found at SaveonEnergy.ca/HAP.
While the Heating and Cooling program, the Poolsaver program and Deal Day events have been discontinued, consumers can look to Save on Energy for information and resources to help them reduce energy waste in their homes.
As a community company, Hydro Ottawa has played an important role in promoting energy conservation. The IESO and local distribution companies across the province have achieved strong results. Working collaboratively, we have reduced consumption, engaged customers and avoided the need for additional investments in the electricity system.
IESO will continue to deliver a valuable and cost-effective system resource that will help customers better manage their energy costs through Save on Energy programs.
