The Maryland Avenue Pole Relocation project is being completed as an essential requirement to revitalize the aging assets necessary to maintain the electricity capacity that provides power in the River Ward. Over the next few years, there will be an increased Hydro Ottawa construction presence in the general area as part of a larger infrastructure renewal project in your area.
What will this project include?
- Pole line replacement and installation of approximately 15 new poles on Maryland Avenue and Lampman Crescent
Why are we moving forward with this project?
Hydro Ottawa equipment located in this area is reaching the end of life. As a result, it is essential to replace this equipment to ensure the overall reliability of the electricity distribution system in the area moving forward.
